Welcome to our website! We are a member of Division of Life Sciences in Korea University, which is one of the most prestigious universities in Korea. We aim to elucidate how cells interact with surroundings (bacteria, virus, hormones, metabolites, drugs etc) using genome-wide screening approaches and traditional biochemistry techniques. When you have a biological question, we approach it in an unbiased manner by testing all possibilities (i.e. by testing all encoded genes), rather than testing a hypothesis that is based on previous knowledge. 고려대학교 생명과학과 기능유전체학 연구실 홈페이지 방문을 환영합니다. 본 연구실은 세포가 어떻게 다양한 주변 환경 (박테리아, 바이러스, 호르몬, 대사체, 약 등) 과 상호작용을 하는지에 대한 답을 시스템생물학 및 생화학적 기법을 활용하여 찾고 있습니다. 보편적인 접근법, 즉 특정 유전자가 A라는 역할을 할 것이다 라는 가설을 세우고 이 가설을 증명하는 방식을 채택하기 보다는, 인간 세포에 코딩되어 있는 유전자를 모두 편견없이 테스트 (과발현 또는 억제) 해보고, 이 과정에서 A라는 역할에 관여하는 모든 유전자를 발굴하는 방식의 접근법을 채택하고 있습니다. |
